Year 3
We are Hazel Class and Lilac Class.
HAZEL CLASS
Hazel Class is taught by Miss Gover.
Miss Gover's favourite animal is a dog and her favourite ice cream is honeycomb. In her spare time, Miss Gover enjoys walking in the Purbecks and by the coast, baking and being an auntie to her 2-year-old nephew.
She has been teaching for 6 years and her favourite thing about school is helping children to be the best that they can be and seeing them flourish.
Hazel Class are very supportive of each other and enjoy celebrating each other's achievements. We enjoy lessons in which we can be both creative and inquisitive.
If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice to learn, love or laugh together you will find us involved with lots of arts and crafts or playing games.
Our class novel is currently Owen and the Soldier, which we are enjoying so far!
The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is that we are a team who learn and have fun!
LILAC CLASS
Lilac Class is taught by Mr Gale
Mr Gale's favourite animal is a Blue Whale (only seen on Attenborough, at present, unfortunately), his favourite ice cream is unknown, due to dairy intolerance, and his hobbies include playing chess, messing around in boats, climbing mountains, dressing up as soldiers for low budget national media entertainment, writing with fancy pens, collecting fancy books and dabbling as an amateur numismatist (yes, do google it).
He has been teaching for eight years and his favourite thing about schools is working with such fantastic young minds.
In Lilac Class we really enjoy making Mr Gale sing during story time. If we can sneak a few minutes of free time and free choice to learn, love or laugh together, you will find us involved with a whole class run, ending in a game of Temple Run, in which the teacher invariably plays the part of the proverbial boulder.
Our class novel is currently Lord Brocktree, written by Brian Jaques. We are reading this because it's important to remember that the spark of adventure is just around the corner, and we may find that we are braver than we think, and stronger than we seem.
The thing we love best about Sandford St Martin's is that everyone cares for each other, looks out for each other, and works together.
